This 180 Degree Sweep Elbow, Schedule 40 PVC, 2" Slip Socket PVC, aka 2x2" U-Bend fitting - is commonly used for creating a Hartford Loop in the spa / hot tub Air Blower Line, to bring the air blower line above the water level, and then back down to ground level. Sweep 180 elbow is less restrictive than using two 90 degree fittings, and less work too! Can also be used in pool plumbing, for abandoning certain equipment, like pool heaters - cut the two pipes and plumb the 2" 180 sweep elbow in place of the heater.
